I bought this product because it is the only bed rail that works on a bed without a box spring. I found this out by speaking to a representative at the Stander company. Amazon sells it for quite a discount. I am 98 years old and have fallen/slid out of bed a number of times. The BedCane allows me to hold on to something solid so that I can ease myself out of bed. It helps me to stand up until I feel steady enough to walk. It certainly helps me to feel secure and more independent.
Great Post-Surgery

I bought this for my spouse after spinal fusion surgery. It really helped the transition from the hospital, where there were grab bars on the bed to assist with sitting up, to home. It is very stable and the cover with pockets was great for pills, phone, etc. that would have required twisting to reach on a bedside table. She is still using it 2 months after surgery, it may become permanent.

This product is a big help for my husband. He couldn't pull himself up, to get out of bed. I would definitely recommend this bed cane. Good price, fast delivery, and easy to put together.
This is a wonderful, unobtrusive, easily installed device!

I am a physical therapist and have recommended this device to countless people, both patients and their spouses. It works great and can be positioned very easily to make getting into and out of bed easier and also serves as a warning as to where the edge of the bed actually is. This is much safer and more stable than the nightstand which many people seem to use.

Easy to "install", a great help getting in & out of bed as well as helping one to roll over.
It has a little movement (which could have been prevented by another drilled hole) but is stable enough not to effect its benefit. I would purchase it again in a heartbeat! |
